The church was built in the XVII century, the inside of the church was modified in the Baroque Age. The façade was designed by architect Carlo Rainaldi (1611 – 1690) and realized by Giuseppe Giosafatti in 1687 – 1690. In 1704 Giuseppe Giosafatti added the portal and the double staircase at the entrance; in 1816 the church and the convent were suppressed.
